The Role

We are looking for an experienced

Senior Design Engineer

to lead the design and development of complex tooling and precision engineering solutions. This is a key role within our team, where you will take ownership of projects from concept through to completion, ensuring designs meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and manufacturability.

You will work closely with clients, engineers, and the production team, providing technical leadership. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving engineering challenges and delivering innovative solutions in a fast-paced, high-precision environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design of injection mould tools, fixtures, and precision components using advanced CAD software Manage design projects from initial concept through to final approval Collaborate with clients to interpret requirements and provide expert technical guidance Ensure all designs are optimised for manufacturing, cost-efficiency, and performance Oversee and review the work of the design team providing mentorship and support Maintain accurate design documentation and ensure compliance with ISO standards Drive continuous improvement and contribute to innovation within the design process

What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a Design Engineer within tooling, moulding, or precision engineering Proficiency in CAD software (Autodesk or similar) Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach Leadership experience or the ability to support other team members
