Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager (Faxc3xa7ade) for a prestigious Tier 1 Main Contractor based in Cambridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and delivering complex faxc3xa7ade design packages valued over xc2xa330M. You will lead the design and installation process, ensuring compliance with the latest building regulations, particularly under the Building Safety Act for high-risk buildings. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while working within a high-performing team.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design and delivery of faxc3xa7ade packages in excess of xc2xa330M.Oversee performance mock-ups and testing to inform the final faxc3xa7ade design.Ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act for projects over 18m in height.Manage the faxc3xa7ade consultant team to deliver design outputs in collaboration with the faxc3xa7ade subcontractors.Drive cost management, programme adherence, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.Liaise with senior stakeholders and regulatory bodies to ensure all approvals are achieved.Skills and Experience Required:A minimum of 8 years in a Design Manager role with a Tier 1 Main Contractor.Proven experience in delivering major projects valued at over xc2xa3100M.In-depth experience with faxc3xa7ade systems, including unitised faxc3xa7ades.Strong understanding of High-Risk Buildings under the Building Safety Act.Ability to manage large-scale European faxc3xa7ade subcontractors.Degree qualified in a relevant technical subject (e.g., Engineering, Architecture).Professionally Chartered with a recognized body (e.g., RIBA, MICE, MCIOB).Exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills.Must be based within 1 hour's commute to Cambridge.Why Join Us?Competitive pay rate with an annual equivalent of up to xc2xa390,000.Full-time contract with the potential for future opportunities.Hybrid working: 4 days on-site, 1 day working from home.Work on high-profile projects with a prestigious Tier 1 contractor.A dynamic and collaborative working environment with opportunities for career progression.How to Apply:
