As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will report directly to the Head of Engineering and be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust infrastructure and deployment pipelines for our platform components.
Design, deploy, and maintain highly available Kubernetes clusters across AWS, GCP, and Azure
Optimize Kubernetes deployments for performance, security, and cost-effectiveness
Implement Kubernetes security best practices and manage Kubernetes operators
Work with Helm charts for package management
Multi-Cloud Infrastructure
Architect and maintain robust multi-cloud redundancy systems to ensure platform reliability
Implement cloud-agnostic solutions where possible
Manage multi-cloud networking, including VPCs, VPNs, Zero-Trust Networks, load balancers, and DNS configurations
Implement and maintain disaster recovery strategies
Optimize cloud resource utilization and manage costs across multiple providers
CI/CD & Deployment Automation
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like CircleCI, Jenkins, ArgoCD
Integrate security scanning and compliance checks into the CI/CD pipeline
Improve deployment speed and reliability
Ensure smooth application deployments
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform, Helm, CDK, Ansible, Pulumi, or CloudFormation
Ensure consistent and reproducible infrastructure deployments
Apply GitOps practices for infrastructure management
Security & Compliance
Design and implement security best practices in accordance with industry standards for financial and identity systems
Ensure proper IAM policies and secrets management
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
Implement zero-trust security models where appropriate
Manage certificates and encryption across the platform
Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations (ISO27001, PCI-DSS, etc).
Monitoring, Logging & Observability
Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stacks, and cloud-native monitoring tools and external health monitoring services
Establish and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs)
Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system issues
Incident Management & Troubleshooting
Participate in on-call rotation and handle incident response
Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures
Ensure 24/7 platform availability
Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems
Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with development, security, and product teams
Document infrastructure and operational procedures
Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation
Lead technical teams and provide guidance in infrastructure decisions
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or equivalent roles
Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes administration, including cluster management, security, scaling, and upgrades
Proven experience working with AWS, GCP, and Azure cloud platforms
Strong experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform preferred)
Proficiency in scripting and automation languages (Python, Bash, Go)
Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, or similar)
Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog)
Understanding of networking concepts, including VPCs, load balancing, security groups, DNS, and SSL
Experience with container technologies (Docker)
Strong understanding of Linux operating systems
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, distributed team environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with decentralized systems, blockchain technologies, or self-sovereign identity platforms
Knowledge of self-sovereign identity frameworks and standards
Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd) and API gateways
Familiarity with GitOps workflows
Experience with database administration (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)
Experience with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions)
Experience with WebAssembly (Wasm) and edge computing
Knowledge of fintech or payment systems and compliance requirements
Experience with policy as code and security scanning tools
Experience integrating AI/ML tools into DevOps workflows for predictive monitoring and automation
Certifications in Kubernetes (CKA, CKS) or cloud platforms (AWS Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, Azure Solutions Architect)
Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub portfolio
