ABOUT THE ROLE

CoStar delivers real-time, verified commercial real estate data that enables our commercial real estate clients to make informed, high impact decisions ahead of competitors. By combining the power of CoStar\xe2\x80\x99s independent research organization \xe2\x80\x93 the industry\xe2\x80\x99s largest \xe2\x80\x93 with global data delivery, software, and application solutions, clients can act on opportunities with confidence.

Reporting to the Head of Analytics Europe, CoStar is seeking a Senior Director of Market Analytics to join our growing analytics organization. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing analytic content (listed below) for the London and the South-East. The Senior Director will play a key role as a client- and industry-facing representative of CoStar and be responsible for delivering CoStar\xe2\x80\x99s view of the market and the outlook, mainly in written form.

The position will be based in our London headquarters.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Produce meaningful, relevant, and insightful analytic content describing real estate market conditions in the greater London and the South-East for inclusion in CoStar\xe2\x80\x99s product offering

This analytic content will take written forms primarily, including, (1) written narratives in CoStar\xe2\x80\x99s market and sub-market reports; (2) analytic news articles on real estate and macro developments in the greater London and the South-East for CoStar\xe2\x80\x99s news platform

Engage in interactions and discussions with CoStar customers to deliver market analysis and seek industry input to inform CoStar\xe2\x80\x99s view of developing trends in the real estate market in the greater London and the South-East

Deliver in person and video market updates to CoStar clients and industry groups, focusing on economic and commercial real estate trends in the London and the South-East

Respond to media inquiries to provide CoStar\xe2\x80\x99s view on economic and commercial real estate trends in the London and the South-East

Regularly review and monitor CoStar data for accuracy, timeliness, and quality, and ensuring errors and outliers are corrected in a timely manner

Meaningfully engage with our international Analytics teams to share best practices and analytical insight

Given CoStar\xe2\x80\x99s high performance culture, be accountable for ensuring the timely delivery of high quality content and continuously self-monitor areas for growth and development

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree required

Significant work experience in commercial real estate, with some experience in the London market

High level of understanding of commercial and residential real estate fundamentals, urban planning issues as well as economic theory and principles applied to the real estate industry

Strong analytical and writing skills, and presentation/public speaking skills

Demonstrated writing skills; ability to write effectively and maintain a high volume of written content

Experience in using MS Office; proficient with MS Excel

Familiarity with markets in the local area, as either a resident or a real estate professional

Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master\xe2\x80\x99s or other graduate degree in a related field

Polished presentation skills and communication skills

Experience speaking and presenting data related to market conditions to others in both large groups and in small executive-level settings

Client orientation and commitment to help clients succeed

SQL experience

Macrobond or Haver Analytics experience
