Are you an experienced Document Controller with a passion for precision, collaboration, and delivering major projects to the highest standards? At Balfour Beatty, we are looking for a Senior Document Controller to join our team and play a vital role in managing information flow across some of the UK's most exciting infrastructure projects.

What you'll be doing

As a Senior Document Controller, you will:






Set up project-specific CDE (Common Data Environment) systems, workflows, and RFIs. Ensure all documentation is controlled accurately, from pre-construction through to completion. Collaborate with design managers, site teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders to keep information flowing seamlessly. Provide training, coaching, and subject matter expertise on document control processes and CDE software. Uphold Balfour Beatty's Zero Harm values, ensuring confidentiality and compliance at all times. Deliver consistent feedback to project and design managers to resolve documentation issues quickly.


Who we're looking for

We'd love to hear from you if you can demonstrate:




Solid document control experience within construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 file naming standards and information management protocols. Experience working with CDE platforms and a good understanding of BIM concepts. Excellent planning, organisation, and administrative skills. A proactive, detail-driven approach with the confidence to engage and train teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across functions.
