We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Economist to join us and play an important role in our UK wide Economics team, analysing data, interpreting policy and helping deliver projects. This post is based on Cardiff, but sits within a combined Bristol and Cardiff team, with projects covering Wales and the South West of England.


Our specialist Economics team help shape the future of development and regeneration through strategic economic insight. Working at the intersection of property, planning, and infrastructure, the team delivers high-impact consultancy that influences policy and investment decisions across national, regional, and local levels. From crafting compelling business cases for major estate initiatives to assessing the social and economic impact of developments, you'll play a key role in unlocking value and driving growth. This is also a fantastic opportunity to support the expansion of our economic advisory services, contributing to new business opportunities in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.

Team Overview

The Savills Economics team has established a reputation as one of the leading players in the UK covering property and economic analysis and research.


The Cardiff and Bristol teams are working on a range of projects for a mix of public and private sector clients, including: market studies and business cases for Investment Zones and Freeports; strategy development for Innovation Districts; market studies across a range of sectors including science and technology, advanced manufacturing and industrial and logistics; developing Regeneration Plans in partnership with local communities and Councils and a range of housing and infrastructure funding bids for a developers and land owners.

Recruitment agencies
