Job Description

As a Senior Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Consultant, you will advise clients and practitioners on effective EDI strategy and implementation, using data and research to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions tailored to the specific needs of each client and context.

As a senior EDI Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic and data-driven initiatives that promote equality, diversity and inclusion within organisations. You will need to demonstrate the competence and passion to drive positive change, possess a deep understanding of both organisational contexts and equality, diversity and inclusion principles, you will also be skilled in data analysis and strategic consulting.

Role Purpose



To spearhead The Equal Group's (TEG) data-driven EDI consulting services by ensuring exceptional client delivery, taking ownership for strategic relationships, and designing and delivering innovative services. This role directly reduces organisational reliance on external associates, stabilises service quality, and enables the CEO to focus on strategic growth initiatives while embedding TEG's methodology across all client engagements.

Client Delivery (75%)



Serve as a subject matter expert,

providing support and guidance to clients on equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives, best practices, and strategies.

Collaborate with clients

to understand their goals and objectives, ensuring the successful delivery of projects and high levels of client satisfaction.

Develop and refine

an effective understanding of our services and how to implement them in a consistent and impactful way.

Conduct comprehensive EDI audits

using quantitative data analysis to assess client diversity metrics, identify systemic gaps, and deliver actionable insights that drive measurable cultural change.

Lead end-to-end project execution

for key accounts and new clients, including facilitating workshops, designing/delivering training sessions, and guiding strategic advisory calls to translate data into inclusive practices.

Ensure brand and methodological alignment

by reviewing client outputs (reports, policies, recommendations) to uphold TEG's ideology and quality standards.

Optimise project delivery

through proactive timeline/budget management, risk mitigation, and adherence to scope, ensuring solutions are both impactful and commercially viable.

Build and maintain

The Equal Group's industry leadership by continuously integrating EDI best practices and emerging research and apply this knowledge to existing and future client engagements.

Strategic Project Ownership (15%)



Develop and scale

TEG's strategic projects by architecting content, onboarding clients / EDI practitioners, and refining the platforms to become core revenue-generating service lines.

Pioneer data-driven service

innovations such as predictive analytics models or benchmarking frameworks by transforming client insights into scalable prototypes that address unmet market needs.

Build trusted relationships

with key client stakeholders and explore opportunities to enhance our commercial relationships with clients.

Leverage your knowledge

of key clients, partners, influencers, industries and sectors in order to build relationships to enhance the company's sales pipeline.

Ensure project team alignment

by briefing associates and project teams on objectives, conducting quality checks on deliverables, and providing feedback to maintain consistency with TEG's methodology.

Update internal documentation,

project plans and project updates with accurate and useful information across multiple digital platforms. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to coordinate resources, manage project budgets, and ensure efficient optimise project delivery.

Business Development & Marketing (10%)



Drive sales standards

by contributing to client calls, tender responses, pitch development, and client presentations to articulate TEG's value proposition.

Amplify TEG's market presence

through active participation in industry events, webinars, and targeted social media campaigns (e.g., LinkedIn/EDI forums) to generate qualified leads.

Establish thought leadership

by publishing insights (blogs/articles/posts) and sharing expertise at conferences to enhance TEG's reputation as an EDI innovator.

Desirable Qualities:



Proven experience in a consultancy / professional services environment, with a track record of executing successful client delivery. Deep understanding of EDI principles, strategies, and best practices. Effective communication and presentation skills, enabling client and team engagement, negotiation, and consultation. Creativity!! We are looking for someone keen to shake things up in our team, bringing new ideas to the table in line with the clients and/or TEG's vision. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyse situations and provide effective solutions. Is resilient under pressure and thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment.

Pay: 50,000.00-70,000.00 per year
