Job Description

To provide high-quality administrative support to the Education and Training team, ensuring the effective planning, coordination, and delivery of training programmes across the NHS Ambulance Service in line with national frameworks and standards. The postholder will play a key role in supporting compliance with statutory, mandatory, and professional training requirements.
The role will involve travel to other location for training and meetings.
The role is varied including assisting the Business Manager with designing and developing our annual training plan to meet our workforce supply numbers, developing assurance materials on the trusts training compliance and building effective processes and management tools to ensure the Education Department runs efficiently and effectively, while ensuring education is at the highest standard.
Main duties of the job
Main duties include:- Provide mentorship to the Education Administrators as required.- Coordinate and administer internal and external training programmes, including statutory and mandatory training, clinical education, and professional development activities.- Maintain accurate training records using electronic learning management systems (e.g., ESR, PDR systems), ensuring data integrity and compliance with audit requirements.- Produce training reports and compliance data for internal stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and national reporting as required.- Support the coordination, monitoring and evaluation of Education projects to ensure effective delivery and continuous improvement.- Act as first point of contact for training enquiries, providing timely information to staff, managers, and external partners.- Support the booking and logistical arrangements for training events (e.g., venues, trainers, equipment, materials).- Assist in the development of training plans and schedules in line with national ambulance service frameworks and organisational priorities.- Ensure the efficient processing of invoices, purchase orders, and financial records associated with training activities.- Contribute to continuous improvement of administrative processes and systems to enhance service delivery.- Provide administrative support for training governance meetings, including preparing agendas, minutes, and action logs.
