About the role:

The position will support in the delivery and management of the Elections and Electoral registration service to ensure the organisation and administration of UK Parliamentary, Welsh Parliamentary, Police and Crime Commissioner, County and Community elections and referenda.
Providing a professional service to the public, councillors, government departments on all matters relating to elections and electoral registration, including preparing and maintaining an accurate register of electors, ensuring that statutory requirements are met, taking responsibility for delivering key aspects of the planning and conduct of the annual canvass project plan, being wholly accountable for the quality and outcome of the deliverables.
Assisting with periodic and statutory reviews of community councils, polling districts in line with statutory requirements.

About you:

You will have extensive experience of working within electoral registration and elections service, with good understanding of electoral law and statutory procedures.
You will have experience of working within local government undertaking detailed and complex administrative processes in a service environment.
Proven track record of supervising and co-ordinating staff.
Experience of providing advice and guidance to candidates, elected representatives and members of the public.

To lead on the day to day operations of electoral service ensuring the continuous development and improvement of the service.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 34,434.00-36,363.00 per year
