This role will join BES - we're specialists, providing a fully-integrated service to clients within the pharmaceutical, life sciences and healthcare sectors. Using our expertise to create cutting-edge cleanrooms, laboratories and other sophisticated environments. Combining design, digital innovation and construction capabilities to provide a complete multidisciplinary offering. From process engineering to structural and civil, architectural, mechanical/HVAC and electrical services.


What will you be doing?



We're looking for an experienced electrical designer to take projects from concept to commissioning.

You'll lead on detailed designs for complex, validated environments like labs and sterile manufacturing, ensuring compliance with GMP, ISO 14644, and CDM regulations.

You'll work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, support junior engineers, and produce high-quality, install-ready designs using tools like TRIMBLE and AutoCAD.

Your role also includes procurement input, planning support, and client liaison. A strong grasp of safety, quality standards (ISO 9001), and building services systems is essential--along with a proactive, collaborative approach and a passion for delivering smart, compliant solutions.

What you'll bring



HNC qualified in Building Services, ideally educated to degree level IOSH Managing Safely trained as a minimum Strong experience in turnkey project design and coordination (construction, HVAC, electrical) Familiar with design software, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office tools Knowledge of safety, quality systems (ISO 9001), and CDM regulations Experience in pharma/healthcare builds, especially labs and cleanrooms Skilled in leading integrated teams and delivering coordinated solutions Over 10 years' practical experience with a creative, client-focused approach Comfortable attending site meetings and liaising with senior stakeholders
