Lead the delivery of complex M&E projects from concept to completion. You'll drive technical excellence, ensure programme efficiency, and maintain regulatory compliance while coordinating multidisciplinary design and installation activities.
Working collaboratively with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, you'll tackle engineering challenges, optimise workflows, and ensure seamless integration of building systems throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
Lead M&E system development from Stage 4 design through Stage 5 construction and installation
Conduct site inspections, review technical drawings, and oversee capital equipment installation
Ensure compliance with industry, rail, and safety standards
Bridge engineering, construction teams, and clients as the technical liaison
Manage M&E system integration for maximum efficiency and reliability
Drive adoption of digital tools (SharePoint, ACC, InnDex, Openspace)
Lead supplier negotiations and manage procurement processes
Oversee installation, commissioning, testing, and validation
Develop value-engineered solutions to complex challenges
Manage defect resolution and documentation through to project handover
Champion health, safety, and environmental compliance
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
Foster a safety-first culture across all activities
What You'll Need
CITB SMSTS certification (or equivalent)
Valid Black Managers Skill Card (CSCS/ECS)
Proven experience delivering complex M&E projects from design through commissioning
Strong knowledge of construction operations, engineering standards, and regulatory compliance
HNC/degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
