Having grown rapidly across new build homes, Rendesco sees huge opportunity to provide clean heating to existing homes. The company's newest division, Home Energy, aims to retrofit existing homes with heat pumps and batteries to deliver clean heating and energy savings to customers.
The Home Energy division is hiring a motivated, innovative, and driven Electrical Engineer to join the installation team. You will be part of a journey to re-think how heat pumps and batteries are delivered and installed to increase the affordability of renewable tech for customers and drive growth in the business. You will primarily be responsible for installing heat pumps, batteries and solar panels (alongside a heating engineer), though you will also be part of establishing processes, challenging conventional approaches, and teaching others best practices over time.
The Home Energy division is run like a startup, so you will have an opportunity to make a significant impact, while getting support from the wider business to grow your career and develop your skillset. While experience installing batteries, heat pumps or solar is a plus, we are more interested in someone that believes in our mission, is open-minded in their approach, like solving problems, and wants to grow their career in a company that does things differently.
The ideal candidate for the Senior Electrical Engineer role will have keen attention to detail, a methodical mind set, and the self-structure required to work autonomously, and in a wider team. In anticipation of a significant period of growth, the candidate should be keen to take ownership of tasks and on occasion wear multiple hats.
While some lone working may at times be required most of our work will be carried out with a team of engineers. All candidates must be able to work well as part of a team and encourage others to do so too.
