Senior Electronics Development Engineer - Full Time/ Permanent



Are you ready to lead the future of electronic product innovation?



We're looking for a Senior Electronics Development Engineer to join our Engineering and New Product Development (NPD) team. Reporting to the Head of Engineering and NPD, you'll play a pivotal role in driving cutting-edge product development, enhancing existing systems, and embedding a dedicated electronics development function.



What you'll be doing



Leading the design and development of next-generation electronic control systems. Establishing and embedding an in-house electronics development area. Managing projects from concept through to production, including EMC and safety testing. Supporting and improving our existing product portfolio. Collaborating with offshore PCBA vendors and transitioning current developments from external resources. Mentoring future team members to support enhanced development activities.




Essential Skills & Experience



Embedded firmware design in C/C++ (ARM CortexM) Analogue and digital circuit design, instrumentation, sensors, and displays PCB design control and source code management (GIT) Proven demonstrable experience in R&D or product development Degree (or equivalent) in electronics design Strong understanding of product standards and compliance Proven project management capabilities Ability to identify and apply emerging technologies




Desirable extras



Experience in people management PCB layout design using CAD tools Electrical skills and familiarity with Welmec 7.2 and EMC requirements Python programming
