Rheinmetall Electronics UK (REUK) Ltd operates internationally, designing and manufacturing advanced electronics products and systems for the communications, defence, security and government services market.

We are recruiting for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join our team.



For this role, we are looking for a Senior Engineer who has a broad set of skills, but with a strong bias in electronic hardware development. The ideal candidate should enjoy a "hands on" approach working within a small friendly team.




Responsibilities




"Technical Lead" for electronic aspects of the product lifecycle e.g. Design, verification, formal qualification etc. Lead engineer across both new product development and evolution of existing products. Ownership of Electronic design processes, peer reviews etc. Champion the continuous improvement of in-house processes, tools and design methodology. Provide technical mentorship to other engineers. Problem solving with production team on existing products. Support Sales team with technical proposals.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE


Skills




Proven skills in hardware design for embedded electronics. Knowledge of Altium, LTspice etc or similar packages. Ideally, practical experience in designing electronic assemblies to meet EMC requirements. Experience of supporting products throughout their lifecycle. Some experience or an interest in optical sensors would also be beneficial.
