Our client, an Engineering and Technology Pioneer, specialising in the Research and Development of clean technologies and the future of the low-carbon vehicles is currently hiring a Senior Engineer - Battery HV Engineer. The successful candidate will liaise directly with customers, and the engineering teams, to provide and deliver effective engineering solutions.

The Senior Engineer - Battery HV Engineer will:

• Assure design feasibility by reviewing fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
• Support the development of relevant CAD and CAE models within the business to support efficient and effective product development.
• Work across the business to identify clear strategies for maximising the efficiency and performance of the battery HV electrical architecture, depending on sector and solution.
• Maintain a technology \'roadmap\' for the HV battery electrical elements and help guide strategy for the business. Understand key topics that will impact on the design and component selection of the HV battery electrical systems.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on mechanical systems to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and implement engineering facilities & processes to support project and departmental objectives.

The Senior Engineer - Battery HV Engineer will HAVE:

• A degree or similar qualification in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience.
• FEA or CFD knowledge for evaluating theoretical designs.
• Sound understanding of engineering, physics and applied mathematics and their application to solving real world problems.
• Experience in automotive or other relevant battery systems design, development, and validation.
• Familiarity with systems engineering processes from requirements capture through to design validation.
• Experience of CAD software and associated systems e.g Catia, Solidworks or similar, Team center, CFD and structural analysis systems
