Role Overview
As a
Senior Engineer
, you will play a key leadership role in the business, delivering high-quality plumbing and heating services while supporting and mentoring the wider engineering team. You'll carry out daily repairs, maintenance, and installation work, ensuring every job meets our professional standards. You'll also assist in managing projects, resolving technical challenges, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out daily plumbing and heating repairs, maintenance, and newinstallations.
Lead and supervise engineers and apprentices on-site, ensuring high standards of workmanship.
Diagnose faults and provide technical solutions across domestic and commercial systems.
Plan, coordinate, and oversee multiple projects, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
Conduct site surveys, provide quotations, and offer expert technical advice to clients.
Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
Support management with operational planning and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent qualification).
Gas Safe Registration (essential).
Unvented Hot Water Certification (preferred).
Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in plumbing/heating, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
Proven experience in repairs, maintenance, and installation work.
Commercial plumbing or heating background would be a strong advantage.
Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
Full UK driving licence.
