Life Cycle UK is now supporting a 3-year Frame Agreement that covers primarily Maintenance and Modification at Equinor\xe2\x80\x99s offshore platforms Heidrun, Njord A and B, Asgard A and B, Troll A, B and C, Heimdal, and Johan Sverdrup in the North Sea Norwegian sector, as well as the onshore facility at Tjeldbergodden (Norway) and is looking for engineering and design discipline Project personnel to join us.

We are looking for a Senior Instrument Engineer to join our team based in our Aberdeen (AIBP) office.

What will you be doing?

  • To assist the Lead engineer in the compilation of weekly reports, planning, co-ordination, and execution of the groups work activities and in meeting project requirements while performing all technical duties in a highly competent and efficient manner.
  • To carry out professional and liaise with engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and completion activities in a competent and efficient manner whilst ensuring that the technical and safety integrity of engineering being performed is maintained at all times.
  • Ensure project deliverables are generated using Aker Solutions systems and tools.
  • Liaise with client project and facilities engineering in the execution of the modifications project scopes of work delivering work on Schedule and within Budget and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Accountable for the effective administration and implementation of Management of Change.
  • Deputize for the Principal/Lead engineer - provision of holiday, sickness cover when required.
  • Active participate in HAZOP, design reviews and other relevant safety reviews.
  • Coordinate and manage instrument, F&G and Telecommunications system packaged equipment.
  • Prepare engineering concepts
We think you should have:
  • HNC/HND level or University Instrument Engineering degree or relevant education with a very good level of experience in front end studies, FEED and/or EPCI projects from energy sector.
  • Broad competency within instrument work processes.
  • Experience in participation in HAZOP/HAZID reviews.
  • Solution oriented with good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant Norwegian regulations and standards preferred but not essential.
  • Strong work ethics and a proactive attitude.
  • A commercial mindset, good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • The ability to see solutions together with meeting customer expectations and requirements.
  • The competency to be accurate, flexible, and organized.
  • Willing to work in a hybrid structure with regular visits to the primary office in Norway.
