Senior Enterprise Account Executive

London, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

About us

Climate X is a purpose-driven technology company, backed by GV (Google Ventures), Western Technologies (early investors in Meta, Google, Palantir), Commerz Ventures, Pale Blue Dot, Deloitte, and other world-class investors. We're a wonderfully diverse, growing team with physical offices in London and New York City.

Demand for Climate X is growing fast, and we need to build our team! You'll be at the front of a nascent industry, working as part of a fantastic and diverse team, doing things that you can be proud of. We're excited to have the opportunity to speak with you during this process.

Our mission

To deepen the understanding of our changing planet and inspire meaningful action.

What we do

We're helping the world become more resilient to the impacts of physical climate risks (including floods, fires, storms and more). In doing so, we help drive positive global impact aligned to many of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's). Our team builds cutting-edge, peer-reviewed science (incorporating climate projections, remote sensing data) and translates that into financial impacts (to the value of assets or business disruption linked to failure of critical infrastructure) that our customers in the financial services industry use to identify, manage and mitigate those risks. Climate X's customers include the world's largest banks, asset managers and insurance companies including CBRE, Standard Chartered, Virgin Money and Federated Hermes, as well as a partnership ecosystem that includes Deloitte, Capgemini and AWS. Combined, they manage over $6.5 trillion of assets. Customers choose us thanks to our ecosystem of products that help solve real human problems, and drive tangible business benefits to our customers. They love our customer-centric mindset, as well as our pace of innovation in the market.

The impact you'll own

As Enterprise Account Executive, you will spearhead revenue growth by developing and executing innovative sales strategies tailored to clients in the financial services and real estate sectors (Risk specific). From initial outreach to onboarding, you'll nurture clients through the sales cycle, leveraging your industry expertise to tailor solutions to their needs.

You will deepen your financial and real estate industry knowledge, build and maintain key client relationships, and represent Climate X at industry events. You will deliver demos of our climate risk platform to potential clients, explaining its value proposition and unique features.

Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, product, and scientific experts, you'll deliver compelling presentations and negotiate agreements that align with our company's objectives.

Essential Skills

A proven track record in enterprise sales, driving revenue, and demonstrating success managing end-to-end, B2B sales cycles. A history of achieving and exceeding enterprise quotas of 1M+ ARR, ideally in fast-paced, scaling environments. Experience closing large strategic deals (e.g. 500k+ ACV "whales") alongside managing a wider enterprise account territory. Experience in selling complex solutions to Financial Services clients, ideally involving technical or data-rich products. Outstanding relationship management skills, customer obsession, and a consultative, value-led approach to enterprise sales. Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand and translate complex data or climate models across a range of stakeholders, including technical and senior executive audiences. German language (native or fluent) in addition to English proficiency.

Desirable Skills

An understanding of physical risk, stress testing, and other key functions of the Risk function within banking or real estate. Passionate about climate change and its impact on the global economy. Experience working in a fast-paced SaaS or technology start-up. Experience with HubSpot (or equivalent CRM tool). Knowledge of climate modelling and analytics. Fluent in English, additional languages are very helpful.
