Overview

TDR Groundworks Limited is looking to employ a Senior Estimator to manage all estimating duties within the business. The role lends itself to someone who is proactive and helpful and someone who is comfortable with engaging with clients to ensure that the most comprehensive and cost effective tenders are being produced.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role, based at our head office in Witham. A proven track record with good experience in groundworks estimating is essential. Reporting into the Commercial Director, the Senior Estimator will be responsible for all tender enquiries that come in to the business. They will need to be able to complete all required take-offs in order to produce a comprehensive bill of quantities for each tender, liaise with the buyer to obtain material quotes and also sub-contractors to obtain quotes for specialist items of work. The senior estimator will also be responsible for chairing tender adjudication meetings with the directors, for each bid prior to them being submitted.

Qualifications

Proven experience in estimating at a groundworks sub-contractor Proficiency in construction and estimating software Strong understanding of civil engineering and groundworks methodologies Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client and team interactions Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of team in an open plan office Ability to work under pressure to hit client led deadlines Experience in the groundworks and civil engineering sector is essential
