Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cost estimation and project management within the construction industry. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate cost assessments, which will directly impact project planning and execution. The Senior Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver precise estimates that align with project goals and budgets.

Duties

Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to develop comprehensive estimates. Conduct thorough market research to gather data on material costs, labour rates, and other relevant expenses. Collaborate with project teams to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings. Implement effective cost control measures throughout the estimating process. Present estimates to stakeholders, providing clear explanations of methodologies used. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and best practices in estimating. Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new projects.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an estimator in the construction sector or a related field. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Experience in Civil Engineering , Ground Works and Rc Frames . Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with cost control techniques is highly desirable.
