Job Title: Senior Estimator

Reporting to: Estimating Director

Department: Commercial

Key Deliverables & Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates by analysing plans and specifications and preparing quantity take?offs for select trades. Be technically savvy. Being able to use On?Screen Take Off software is a positive. Develop and prepare estimates from with minimal assistance using limited preliminary design documents/information. Develop subcontract interest in projects and manage the subcontractor RFP process. Itemize trade specific scopes and prepare bid packages. Analyze and level subcontractors' proposals according to project specifics. Maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times. Interact with clients, architects, engineers etc. to understand and incorporate project objectives, schedules, permits, costs, etc. Represent the company in looking for future opportunities to grow the business.

Key Account Management:

Attend industry events as requested. Promote our company values externally.

Operational Excellence:

Actively participate in the Operational Excellence Programme and look to innovate. Promote the 'Programme' both internally and externally.

Key Qualifications and Memberships:

Relevant Commercial Construction Estimating experience including early stage budgeting. Take responsibility for their work. Work well with others and can effectively direct and manage others, where required. 4 Year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or 5+/? years of experience or equivalent. Have extensive knowledge of industry practices, procedures, and market trends. Dedicated, well organized, able to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks. Detail oriented with the ability to focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail. Ability to interact, develop, and maintain a positive professional relationship with all levels of people. Meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.
