Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cost estimation and project management within the fire safety, construction or engineering sectors. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of project budgets and timelines, contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Responsibilities

Manage all estimates, from initial project setup through completion, ensuring accuracy in cost breakdowns, timelines, and project budgets. Collaborate with project managers to develop plans, designs, and conduct site visits to define project scopes, evaluate risks, and recommend mitigation strategies. Oversee quality assurance, testing, and inspection to ensure adherence to industry standards. Maintain and update bids, track project progress, and work with finance to manage payments and reconcile accounts. Prepare reports and present findings to management as needed.

Skills

Proven experience as an estimator in the construction or engineering industry. Strong understanding of cost control principles and methodologies. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficient in using estimation software and tools. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
