ABOUT THE ROLE
This is more than a standard estimating role, its a chance to shape project success from the outset. You'll be responsible for producing accurate, competitive tenders from first principles, driving profitability through strategic bidding, and guiding a capable estimating team.
Working closely with pre-construction and commercial teams, you'll manage bids from concept to submission, assess risk, and ensure estimates align with delivery capability. You'll have access to BIM models, modern estimating tools, and a collaborative team environment where your input makes a visible impact.
Whether you're pricing major frameworks or niche standalone packages, your work will be key to winning and delivering projects that matter.
REQUIREMENTS
You'll need to bring:
A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience
A strong background in estimating within the utility or infrastructure sectors
Confidence building up rates from first principles across labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors
Solid understanding of contract requirements, tender processes, and commercial risk
The ability to lead and mentor junior estimators effectively
Bonus points for:
Experience working with BIM or digital take-off software
A methodical, detail-focused approach with a commercial mindset
