Gaining a detailed understanding of the aircraft support and training requirements to develop 'suitable and compliant' facility and infrastructure solutions for customers on airbases and locations in the UK and overseas.
Applying Engineering principles within a required management framework as per defined process
Preforming within a multi discipline environment with exposure to a diverse range of activities
Capturing and understanding of Product Support and Training requirements of multi platforms and products within the Air sector arena
Providing support to the management team around operational planning and new business 'bid submission' activities.
There may be a requirement for national and international travel assignments as part of the role
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
Good working knowledge of Air Sector products from either Industry, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy or Army
Practical experience of Forward, Depth and Training requirements for 'fast jet' aircraft within an operational environment
Computer literate with good MS Office skills with particular emphasis on MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Application of Project Management in the daily working environment and project delivery
Desirable:
HNC (or equivalent) in either Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering. Significant experience in a related discipline including practical experience is required
Experience in Computer Aided Design
A working knowledge of Facilities within an armed service environment

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the AIR Sector, Infrastructure & Facilities Services department within Digital, Data & Infrastrucutre as a Senior Facilities Definition Engineer at Samlesbury. Reporting to the Facilities Definition Manager the successful candidate will support the AIR Sector business at Air and Customer locations in the UK and overseas.
