Senior Farming Executive - Ruthin & Dolgellau Agency

As part of our Account Management team, you will be responsible for delivering professional advice and outstanding service to our customers and farming members, face to face or over the phone, whilst playing a key role in the success of an expanding local business. This role will focus on managing a portfolio of existing farming clients, prospecting and cross selling other products and services to them, as well as supporting our NFU members with BPS/SFS applications, agricultural policy and other matters as required by them.

Duties include


------------------

Reviewing, evaluating and processing the portfolio of existing insurance customers to ensure retention, and the generation of new business to maintain compliant and profitable growth and expand the NFU Mutual reputation for excellent service. Identification, development and generation of Financial Services, Risk Management Services and Personal and Commercial leads from existing and new customers. Supporting our NFU members with the completion of BPS/SFS applications and keeping them up to date with agricultural policy. NFU member recruitment and retention activities. Attendance at Clwyd and Meirionnydd NFU County events. Develop and sustain effective working relationships with customers, all members of the Agency and NFU Mutual staff. Develop and maintain own knowledge and skills to sell professionally and compliantly, delivering a consistently good experience to customers to meet the requirements and standards of NFU Mutual, Training & Competency scheme and our regulators.

Essential Skills & Experience



Extensive knowledge of the agricultural industry, in particular farming policy and schemes.

Desired Skills & Experience



Knowledge of the farming community within the Clwyd and Meirionnydd areas.

Fluent Welsh speaker.

Account Management experience within the insurance industry.

An ability to work autonomously, with a proven track record of managing and prioritising your own workload effectively to meet needs of the business and clients.

A confident & effective communicator, with excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal. delivered with accuracy and attention to detail.

Someone who demonstrates honesty, integrity and due diligence.

A problem solver, who can use their own initiative and judgement.

Someone who is reliable and trustworthy.

Someone who enjoys working as part of a team with a positive can-do attitude.

A good level of IT skills with an ability to use Word & Excel as a minimum and able to learn new internal NFU Mutual IT systems.

Qualifications required:



Minimum A level or equivalent as well as Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C or above (Grade 4 or above)

Our commitment to you:



Salary up to 35,000 depending on experience.

Thorough training and a supportive development plan to enable your success in the role.

35 hours a week (plus attendance at monthly evening NFU County meetings)

Working week: Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm

21 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing to 26 days with length of service)

Free Parking

Team social events twice a year
