Senior Finance Analyst

London, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Position overview:

We're looking for a Senior Finance Analyst, ideally someone having just passed their ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualification and is eager to apply their newly-acquired skills in a dynamic, commercially-focused environment.

This role splits into two vital areas:

Commission Programmes (50%) -- full ownership of internal and external commission schemes: from process design, calculation, controls, approvals, to insightful reporting, all while driving process optimization.
Commercial Analytics & Business Partnering (50%) -- leading ad hoc projects, developing dashboards and tools to support the sales team, and translating commercial performance into financial insight.

You will serve as a key liaison across Sales, Revenue Operations, Salesforce, and Finance (Accounting & FP&A), converting complex data into actionable strategy. It's essential to be confident in Excel, Power BI (or similar), and able to challenge, collaborate, and influence non-finance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Own the end-to-end commission cycle--from scheme design and calculation through approval and reporting. Maintain robust models to ensure accurate, timely commission payments. Develop dashboards and tools in partnership with Sales and Revenue Ops to drive sales performance insights. Conduct analysis to support data-driven decision-making--revenue metrics, performance trends, forecasting. Identify process gaps and propose practical, scalable enhancements. Act as a strategic business partner to non-financial stakeholders, simplifying complex finance into clear, actionable insights. Support cross-functional projects with modeling, scenario analysis, and financial interpretation.

About You:

Just qualified (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA), with your certification awarded within the past 12 months. Experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, or Business Partnering roles (internships, junior roles), showing strong analytical thinking. Advanced Excel capabilities and confidence handling large datasets. Experience with data visualization tools--Power BI preferred. A sharp eye for inefficiencies--ability to propose thoughtful improvements, not just maintain status quo. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Comfortable explaining financial concepts simply and effectively. Adaptable and proactive--thrives in fast-paced environments, energized by ambiguity and challenge.
