This 12-18 month maternity cover role which sits at the heart of East West Connect's Finance Department. The Senior Finance Manager will play a key leadership role, providing financial guidance and assurance to the Board of Directors, Senior Leadership Team and wider business. This is not just about numbers - it's about shaping decisions, driving improvements, and ensuring EWC remains financially strong, compliant, and forward-thinking.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Lead the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely production of financial and management accounts.
Support the Finance Director in developing and delivering the company's finance strategy.
Oversee cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis to support decision-making.
Liaise with auditors to manage the annual audit process and statutory obligations.
Provide insightful commentary to senior management on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
Ensure robust debtor and creditor management processes are in place and effective.
Mentor and develop finance team members, supporting skills growth and succession planning.
Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, processes, and reporting.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Person Specification)
Essential Skills and Qualities
Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
5+ years of progressive finance experience, with proven team management.
Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations.
Advanced Excel skills and strong financial software/ERP experience (ideally 4PS).
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to partner senior stakeholders.
Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with high levels of integrity and reliability.
