Your role and responsibilities
You'll be joining our
Adult Social Care Personal Finance team
, supporting vulnerable adults across Suffolk to live safe, secure, and independent lives. Based at Beacon House in Ipswich, this hybrid role offers the chance to make a real difference every day.
As a Senior Finance Officer, you will:
Lead by example, supporting a team of Finance Officers managing finances for over 800 vulnerable adults under DWP Appointeeship or Court of Protection Deputyship.
Act as the main point of contact for the Court of Protection and DWP on relevant cases.
Collaborate with your manager and fellow Senior Finance Officer to embed new systems and procedures.
Take the lead in safeguarding and managing property and assets on behalf of our clients.

You will need

The team
The Personal Finance team work as one to achieve the goals of the service and actively support each other in all aspects of this. They continually strive to deliver a service they can be proud of and are encouraged to be a part of the decision-making process to accomplish this. The post holder will need to work with the team on this development and support them to implement changes.
The team enjoy varied social events, regularly organised by them for all to enjoy including the wider FIAS team.
