An excellent opportunity has arisen for a

Senior Financial Accountant

to join our dynamic practice. The successful candidate will be expected to work across a broad range of professional areas including statutory accounts preparation, tax compliance and planning, and audit engagements.

Key Responsibilities



Preparation and

review of statutory accounts

under

FRS 102

, including

group consolidations

. Corporation Tax and Personal Tax

review and planning

for a diverse client base. Leading and managing

audit assignments

in accordance with ISAs and UK auditing standards. Proactively manage a portfolio of clients and act as the main point of contact for queries and advice. Regular

communication with HMRC

, including submission of statutory returns and correspondence regarding enquiries. Supervising, mentoring, and

leading junior staff

and supporting team development. Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and applicable

UK regulatory frameworks

(e.g. Companies Act 2006, HMRC guidelines). Ensuring delivery of work within deadlines while maintaining high technical and ethical standards.

Candidate Requirements



Fully

qualified ACCA or ICAEW (ACA)

- other qualifications such as CIMA may be considered with strong practice background. Minimum of

10 years' experience

working in a UK-based accountancy practice. Proven ability to

review complex accounts

and

handle group consolidations

. Sound knowledge of

UK GAAP (FRS 102)

and tax legislation. Strong grasp of

audit methodology

and compliance obligations. Excellent written and verbal

communication skills

, including confidence in client interactions. Ability to

manage pressure

, prioritise workload and meet deadlines without compromising quality. High attention to detail,

analytical thinking

, and professional integrity. Demonstrated experience in

leading teams

and contributing to strategic growth of the firm.

Desirable Software Skills



Working knowledge of

Xero

,

QuickBooks

, Tax Calc, or similar accounting and tax software.
