Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Senior Financial Assistant to join our Private Equity-focused family office. In the role, you will support the financial operations of a close-knit team at OPG that manages a global investment portfolio, with a focus on mid-market special situations. The role offers both home-based work and occasional London team office days.

Responsibilities



This role is ideal for a proactive individual with finance operations experience and curiosity to learn, recently qualified/part-qualified as an accountant. Key responsibilities will be to:

Drive the smooth operation of financial activities alongside the Chief of Staff and Investment Manager/CIO, as well as provide direct support to the Principal. Play a critical role in financial reporting, budgeting and processes, and transaction support for both the private equity and passive investment sides of the business. Monitor transactions related to investment assets, helping maintain proper financial controls, record-keeping, and necessary filings in collaboration with external teams. Support liquidity management and AR/AP for both the private equity and passive investments portfolios, ensuring the right balance of distributions to enable growth. Prepare reviews of portfolio companies, as well as budgets for family office entities. Drive organization across financial data, invoicing and the necessary financial filings.

Ideal Profile



Strong background in finance operations, and a strong curiosity to learn and grow. Demonstrated experience managing financial activities, reporting, and transactions. Ability to organise financial data, prepare reports, and lead multiple tasks effectively. Strong written and verbal communication, distilling information into clear summaries. High level of professionalism and discretion in managing sensitive financial matters. Part or full UK ACA/ACCA qualified accountant (or similar qualification) is desirable. US and European accounting experience is desirable (particularly in local formats) Spanish language skills are desirable, for coverage of Spanish-based investments.

Pay: 35,000.00-45,000.00 per year
