Netzero Facades Limited is looking to hire an experienced Financial Controller to join our fast growing business.

The role of the Financial Controller will be to support our activities across all areas of our business, offering the successful candidate with a broad range of experience and insight.

Whilst the candidate will be primarily responsible for maintaining and developing the financial and accounting activities, they will also be a core member of the senior management team. Reporting to the managing director and the board of directors, they will help to drive performance improvement, participating in a range of strategic and commercial discussions.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant, with experience of working in the construction and/or manufacturing industry. This is a hands-on role, supported by a small finance team and experienced board members. The role will also cover elements of human resources and IT/systems, however these are also supported by external advisors.

It is our preference that the candidate should be office based, primarily at the head office near Cumbernauld, but with the opportunity of dividing also spending time at the office in Edinburgh or Newbridge. Some flexibility in terms of working hours can be accommodated.

Netzero Facades Limited is a construction/manufacturing business in the facades industry. Our projects range from schools and purpose built student accommodation, to commercial office buildings and building remediation contracts.

The business is headquartered near Cumbernauld, having recently relocated to a new 30k sq ft facility acquired earlier this year. We also have an office in Edinburgh and our sister company (Henshaw Facades Limited) operates a site on the outskirts of Edinburgh near Newbridge.

The company is on course to deliver turnover of over 10m in the current financial year, with a strong pipeline of opportunities to help continue this growth.

Founded in 2022, the company has grown rapidly to establish itself as a key player in the facades industry, particularly in Scotland. The company is backed by Robertson Campbell Investments Limited, an investment firm based in Edinburgh.

Key responsibilities:



Ownership of the monthly financial close process

Preparation of monthly board pack including forecasts and commentary

Annual budget preparation

Annual audit

Business plan preparation and analysis

Identify and follow through on areas of financial improvement

Ownership and improvements in financial processes

Ownership of financial controls

Management of a small finance team

Cash management and cash forecasting

Oversee sales purchase, purchase ledger and payroll

Management of direct and indirect tax compliance

Ad Hoc reporting and analysis for senior management, shareholders, etc

Responsibility for all statutory filings

Maintain Customer / product sales & margin analysis

Ideal candidate



- Qualified accountant with minimum of 4 years PQE

- Experience of working in the construction / manufacturing sector - ideal but not fundamental

- Proactive and hands-on management style with an appetite to take responsibility

- Experience of the Xero accounting system

- Good organisation skills and ability to prioritise a varied workload

- Strong analytical skills

- Strong communication and influencing skills

Pay & benefits



- 60k to 80k depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 60,000.00-80,000.00 per year
