Senior Financial Modeller

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Modeller to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and improving financial models that support strategic decision-making, budgeting, forecasting, and investment analysis. This role requires strong technical skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Design and develop robust financial models for budgeting, forecasting, valuation, scenario planning, and strategic initiatives.
Collaborate with FP&A, business units, and senior leadership to gather inputs and validate assumptions.
Perform sensitivity and scenario analysis to assess financial risks and opportunities.
Support M&A activity, capital investment decisions, and other strategic projects with detailed financial modelling.
Maintain and improve existing models to ensure accuracy, relevance, and usability.
Document model logic, assumptions, and methodologies for transparency and audit purposes.
Stay current with industry trends, financial modelling best practices, and relevant software tools.
Experience/Qualifications:
Essential:
Educated to degree level and having completed their professional accounting qualification (ACCA / CIMA / ACA or similar).
Proven experience in financial modelling within a corporate, consulting, or investment environment.
Advanced proficiency in Excel (including Power Query, VBA, and dynamic arrays); experience with modelling tools such as Power BI.
Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation techniques, and corporate finance principles.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
Desirable:
Experience in a PE-backed or high-growth business.
