What will you be doing?

As a Firmware Test Engineer, you won\'t be just another cog in the wheel; you will be the trailblazer who sets the direction for firmware testing in the life-changing products we develop!

Your role will be pivotal in orchestrating our efforts to ensure the utmost quality and reliability of the embedded firmware powering our ground breaking advanced wound devices (AWD). We trust you to bring your expertise to the table, devising innovative testing methodologies, and establishing testing standards that elevate our products. Overtime this role may evolve to lead a team of test engineers as demand grows for more advanced wound devices.

What does success look like?

Success as a Firmware Test Engineer means establishing robust testing strategies, leading to defect-free firmware releases and improved product quality. Timely project delivery, collaborative leadership, and implementing test automation are essential. Continuous learning, positive stakeholder feedback, effective problem-solving, and proactive communication contribute to elevating firmware quality, positively impacting patient care.

Successful candidates would need the following:

  • Significant experience developing and leading firmware testing as part of NPD and EPD processes
  • Experience with regulated processes e.g. IEC62304
  • Experienced in writing test plans, protocols, and scripts for evaluation of embedded systems
  • Strong understanding of firmware developments in complex products
