More about your role
We're looking for a forward-thinking Senior Fleet Manager to lead both the transformation of our fleet operations and the effective day-to-day running of a large, complex fleet. With around 1,000 commercial vehicles and 300 company cars, this role is vital to ensuring our operations stay legally compliant, customer-focused, and commercially sound--while evolving to meet future needs.
You'll be responsible for modernising systems and processes, shaping a long-term fleet strategy, and embedding a high-performance culture within a small, dedicated team. At the same time, you'll take full ownership of the BAU essentials--overseeing the full vehicle lifecycle from acquisition to disposal, ensuring operational compliance, and managing supplier performance.
Your ability to juggle transformation with consistency will be key. You'll ensure our fleet continues to support the business effectively today, while leading the transition to electric vehicles for tomorrow - from strategic planning and infrastructure delivery to supporting procurement. Collaborating with stakeholders, you'll ensure smooth integration and monitor performance,
Key priorities include:
Leading the end-to-end lifecycle of a varied fleet, from procurement through to disposal
Driving the development and delivery of a future-ready strategy aligned to operational and sustainability goals
Maintaining strong governance, compliance, and risk management across the fleet
Managing key suppliers and stakeholder relationships to drive value and improve service
Exploring the introduction of a fleet management system and driving digital transformation
Developing and coaching your team to perform at their best and support wider business aims
Using data and insight to improve performance, reduce costs, and strengthen decision-making

You're a highly capable fleet professional who brings both strategic vision and operational expertise. You're passionate about raising standards, improving systems, and delivering tangible results--but just as committed to ensuring the day-to-day keeps moving smoothly. You thrive on leading change, but you also know that success lies in getting the basics right, every time.
To be considered for an interview, you will need to demonstrate:
Proven experience in fleet management, ideally within a leadership or senior operational role
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, compliance, logistics, and commercial vehicle operations
A track record of leading teams through change while maintaining service and compliance
Excellent stakeholder engagement and supplier relationship management skills
