Our Coflore range of flow reactors are installed in 23 countries across the globe with many repeat customers. Rapid growth in core business over the past few years and an exciting business route map means that we are looking for a senior flow chemist to join our chemical process development team.
Core Objectives of this Role:
Lead technical discussions with existing and prospective clients, focusing on transferring their chemical processes from batch to flow, or to develop their novel process in flow.
In collaboration with the wider team, design, build and operate flow chemistry processes in Coflore equipment.
Prepare and disseminate chemistry testing results in a variety of formats (i.e. written reports, presentation slides, Teams call discussions with stakeholders).
Be proficient in operating standard laboratory equipment such as HPLC, LCMS, GCMS.
Liaise with the commercial team to prepare feasibility study quotations.
Secondary Objectives of this Role:
Attend scientific conferences and exhibitions internationally, promoting AM Technology as a technology leader in flow chemistry through oral and poster presentations.
Involvement with R&D collaborations and ongoing / future grant funded projects. For examples of AMT's R&D efforts, please refer to:
Supervise internship students (for example, AMT is a member of the RSC Broadening Horizons program).
Role Requirements:
To be successful in this role you will need to be results-driven with a strong understanding of chemical processes such as nitration, hydrogenation, and halogenation.
Strong chemistry background
Experience in flow chemistry
Willingness to work at the interface of chemistry and chemical engineering
Enthusiastic team player
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
This role is primarily office/laboratory based, at our headquarters in Runcorn, UK. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
Remuneration:
Competitive salary (34k to 41k depending on experience)
