ENGIE are recruiting for a Senior Pricing Analyst to be based in Leeds. This is a permanent role, working full time Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.

Purpose of the role

Together with your team of 4 analysts, achieve an acceptable, properly managed and mitigated level of exposure to costs and risks associated with commodity and third party charges (e.g. transportation, metering, fees, renewable levies etc.).

Key Accountabilities

Develop, maintain and improve models for cost and risk exposure analysis, cost forecasting, premium determination and pricing calculations (import and export), ensuring pricing friction is kept to target levels.

Develop, maintain and improve a suite of reports that can be used for ongoing monitoring of P&L forecasts and impacts, setting budgets and supporting audits, for all third party charges and premia.

Monitoring the regulatory landscape and assessing the impacts of industry change on pricing methodologies and cost forecasts, acting as subject matter expert for implementation and communication to stakeholders.

Creation and monitoring of \xe2\x80\x9cOut of Contract\xe2\x80\x9d prices, ensuring portfolio costs are covered without the generation of excess profits or bad debt.

Support the definition of pricing policies and define pricing methodologies and help ensure a framework where they are effectively implemented and operated across the business.

Proactively develop and implement solutions to pricing issues (and regularly analyse to detect new issues) including improving existing systems and processes or developing new, as well as supporting new product ideas.

Support and develop your team of Pricing Analysts using knowledge and experience to create a high performing team.

Participate in and support programmes and projects providing role of Subject Matter Expert. Lead smaller business projects to implement new processes / improvements

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications required

Proven ability to undertake analysis of complex numerical problems.

Experience of retail pricing techniques and systems.

Degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, or specific related experience

Microsoft Office proficient, Microsoft Excel expert User (able to guide others), Python and VBA desirable.

Demonstrated ability to succeed in a complex environment.

Sound knowledge of elements that contribute to final delivered prices and cost items incurred by business in course of gas and electricity supply.

Knowledge of Retail products, UK B2B and commodity markets.

Ability to quickly understand and assess commercial scenarios, and communicate impacts to varying levels of the business

Proven ability to lead effective teams

Ability to proactively devise and implement solutions to novel and complex problems across multiple disciplines and departments to ensure business advantage.

Awareness of risk management techniques.

Customer focus

Commercial acumen and wider awareness of impacts across the business.
