As a Barclays Senior Forensic Specialist, you\xe2\x80\x99ll join an exciting new venture within the Chief Security Office (CSO). You will assist in delivering high quality Cyber Forensic services and support for both internal and external stakeholders including Joint Operation teams, Cyber Operations, Fraud, legal and internal investigations teams. This will be the ideal role for you to showcase your exceptional experience in conducting Digital Forensic investigations and / or Incident Response.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. What will you be doing?

  • Conducting technical and forensic examinations of digital devices; using leading edge techniques and tools to recover live/deleted digital evidence from a variety of digital devices
  • Responding rapidly to requirements to gather digital data; potentially on a global scale
  • Identifying effective, efficient and innovative means of gathering electronic evidence from Barclays\xe2\x80\x99 network and enterprise operations
  • Providing technical expertise to the Cyber Forensics Investigation team, supporting through research of data held within Barclays strategic platforms and other unstructured data
  • Regularly reporting on progress of investigations and conclusions to a wide range of senior stake holders
  • Ensuring all actions taken in an investigation are compliant with best practices/suitability for use in a court of law and to the standard set out in NIST and the ACPO Good Practice Guide
  • Actively ensuring that all collected/examined data within a case is appropriately handled to protect personal and corporate entitlements complying with local and country specific laws
  • Reporting and giving evidence for Barclays externally (both verbal and written) as required by the business, and in conjunction with Legal Counsel
What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:
  • SANS GIAC qualifications - SANS GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner/Forensic Analyst or GIAC Incident Handler
  • Knowledge/Experience of Cyber Forensic/Incident Response tools including SIFT Workstation/REMnux, EnCase,
  • Experience of Forensic Tools - NUIX, Axiom Cyber, F-Response, FTK Imager, EZ Tools, Blade,
  • Excellent analytical experience of Windows OS, MacOS and Linux/Unix
Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Experience & Knowledge of Malware Analysis
  • Cyber Security Knowledge and the CISSP qualification
  • Penetration & Vulnerability Testing Experience
  • Scripting/programming knowledge
Where will you be working?
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64-acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play.
