Senior Front of House Member - Yamato, Edinburgh



Role Overview



The Senior Staff Member supports the restaurant in daily operation and leadership of the front of house team. This is a hands-on role with responsibility across service delivery, ensure smooth team operation and guest experience. We value individuals with a good character, a passion for Japanese cuisine as strong as ours, and a willingness to learn and take pride in their work.

What you'll be responsible for:



Support FOH team members to deliver excellent customer service. Uphold standards of guest care and ensure smooth flow of service. Ensure a consistently clean, tidy and guest-ready front of house and bar. Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and concerns with professionalism. Address and resolve any issues raised by guests or staff, maintaining high standards of service and team morale. Maintain high standards across presentation and organisation. Monitor service preparation including menu, booking management, dining setup, inventory and supplies. Provide attentive, knowledgeable service throughout the dining experience. Ensure alignment and efficient workflow between FOH team members and kitchen staff.

What we're looking for:



Previous experience in a supervisor, senior waiter role. Confident, professional, and guest-focused. Strong multitasking and organisational skills with great attention to detail. Comfortable with POS systems, booking platforms, and team support tools. Enthusiasm for learning and improving with the team. A genuine interest in Japanese cuisine and culture.

Pay: 12.80-13.20 per hour
