Full Stack Developer
Glasgow

As a Barclays Full Stack Developer, you will be part of the Collateral Management (CMU) and Client Valuations (CVG) project team of Barclays Capital. You will be responsible for development of work items assigned, which support the business needs. You will understand and implement new Business requirements and work on enhancing existing business function. This is an excellent opportunity to support migration from existing technologies to new technologies.

Hybrid Working

What will you be doing?

• Delivering on critical business priorities while evolving platform towards its strategic vision
• Working closely with product managers, end users, business analysts to understand business objectives and key success measures and
• Actively partnering with technology teams to design and architect solutions that align to Barclays Architecture, Data and Security standards, while utilizing best-of-breed technology
• Developing and testing resilient, scalable, and reusable services and APIs utilizing latest frameworks and libraries while adhering to development standards
• Implementing automated build, test and deployment pipelines utilizing latest DevOps tools
• Pro-actively creating and managing relevant application documentation, manage application health, platform stability by reviewing technical debt, operational risks and vulnerabilities
• Defining metrics and instrument measurement and monitoring of production environment and address issues to ensure that application meet Service Level Objectives
• Evaluating software and vendors and conduct proof-of-concept development using emerging technologies

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

• Experience in full stack enterprise level application development using object oriented languages (C#, python)
• UI Frameworks like Angular, Cloud: AWS; Databases: SQL Server, MySQL, Server-less architecture and Agile methodologies (Scrum & SAFe)
• Experience in popular wed development frameworks (Angular, React, JQuery) and experience (SQL server preferred) messaging framework (Kafka, MQ, Solace)
• Experience with cloud enabled micro-service development and source code management, continuous integration/delivery processes Git, Jenkins, Chef, SonarQube, DevSecOps

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Financial services knowledge in Investment banking and collateral management
• Industry best practices in Architectural methodologies and standards
• Distributed Cache experience (Ignite, Redis, Gemfire, etc.)
• Experience with Data Analytics and data lake
