Job Title: Senior Full Stack Engineer

Description of the Role

You will be joining the Accounting Tribe/Domain within Deutsche Bank\'s Global Technology, Data, and Innovation (TDI) group. Our domain is responsible for T+1 Product Control and providing the necessary information to the General Ledger from Transaction and Hedge Accounting. We are working to create simplified, reusable, consumable, application, data and infrastructure. All underpinned by our strategic partnership with Google and commitment to Cloud.

You will use your Software Engineering skills to support business growth through digital innovation. You will be responsible for crafting solutions to accomplish business goals with focus on quality, maintainability, compliance, and ease of testing built in from the outset. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will be working within a team and across teams where you will bring engineering thought leadership while mentoring and coaching team members in engineering principles, best practice, methodologies, and culture.

Your key responsibilities
  • Writing robust, clean and efficient code using a \xe2\x80\x9ctest-first\xe2\x80\x9d approach.
  • Working with the business and other stakeholders to define and refine requirements.
  • Focus on the user experience and delivering value to our customers.
  • DevOps and managing Continuous Integration/Delivery pipeline and production environments.
  • To continually learn and develop your career with support from your management team and the wider organisation.
Your skills and experience
  • 10+ years hands-on engineering experience.
  • Extensive experience of leading and mentoring.
  • Extensive experience of Java development using Spring/Boot along with experience of developing RESTful web services and how these are used to build robust service based architectures and a good understanding of SQL and ideally have experience of using Oracle and PL/SQL.
  • Experience with modern software delivery techniques (agile/lean, TDD, BDD, pair programming etc.).
  • A desire to work globally in an agile organization with frequent deliveries and to work directly with the business to define the products.
  • Prior exposure or experience of front-end development (for example React) and/or Cloud technologies (GCP, K8s, OpenShift) a nice to have.
