Full Stack Engineer - Payments & FinTech Web Applications

Location:

Remote - Based in EST or GMT+1

Compensation:

$120K - $150K


We are a high-growth technology company building a robust

FinTech and payments platform

. We are seeking an experienced

Full Stack Engineer

with strong product sense and deep technical expertise to design and build the secure, scalable, and high-performing web applications that power our platform. This role requires translating complex backend financial systems into intuitive, reliable user experiences.


You will own the development lifecycle of web applications from design through release, working across the full stack with an emphasis on the frontend user experience. You will collaborate closely with backend teams, ensuring that all features prioritize performance, security, and scalability. You will be expected to treat UI components and APIs as products, maintaining high standards for code quality and architectural clarity.

What You'll Do:

Application Development:

Build, optimize, and maintain

web applications

using

React, TypeScript, NestJS, and Node.js

.

API Integration:

Collaborate with backend engineers to design and consume secure, efficient APIs (REST).

UX Translation:

Translate complex financial and transactional workflows into

clear, usable, and accessible interfaces

.

Architecture & Standards:

Architect and implement front-end systems with strong attention to scalability, maintainability, and performance. Ensure

accessibility, responsiveness, and cross-browser consistency

.

Leadership & Mentorship:

Lead feature delivery end-to-end, review code, share best practices, and mentor peers to maintain a high engineering standard.

Reliability:

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring reliability and data integrity for a transaction-heavy platform.

Requirements

Experience:

5+ years

of professional front-end or

full-stack software engineering

experience.

Core Expertise:

Strong expertise in

React, TypeScript

, and web application architecture.

Backend Proficiency:

Proven experience with backend technologies including

Node.js and NestJS

.

Database:

Experience with data stores like

MongoDB

or

Postgres

.

Integration & Security:

Proven experience integrating with backend APIs and handling data securely.

Design for Scale:

Experience designing for scalability, maintainability, and fault tolerance in web applications.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Experience (Nice-to-Have):

Exposure to

financial, payments, or other transaction-heavy domains

. Experience contributing to or maintaining shared

design systems or UI libraries

. Experience with

Cypress

and E2E libraries. Knowledge of infrastructure and deployment (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform). Familiarity with real-time data or event-driven architectures, or experience working in regulated environments (SOC2, ISO27001).
