: 38,000-48,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience)

Role purpose
To lead UKIM's community fundraising strategy and delivery, integrating events as a core fundraising channel. The role grows sustainable income across key campaigns (Ramadan, Qurbani, emergency appeals) and year?round activities, strengthens donor stewardship, and supports branches to run compliant, high?impact local fundraising.
Key responsibilities
Develop and deliver the fundraising strategy, KPIs, calendars and budgets; report to SMT/F&GPC.
Manage and integrate events within fundraising, ensuring each event has clear financial targets, stewardship plans and post?event evaluation.
Lead multi?channel campaigns (including TV/radio/community challenges), sponsorship with SMEs, street collections and digital journeys.
Build the mid/high?value pipeline; lead on HNW donor cultivation and 1?to?1 sponsorships for profile?based projects, with timely impact reporting.
Coordinate closely with Finance (income reconciliation, pledge chasing) and Media/Marketing (content, brand, digital).
Ensure regulatory compliance (Fundraising Regulator/Code of Fundraising Practice, GDPR/ICO, Charity Commission) and safe volunteer management.
Horizon scanning--identify new approaches and audience segments (youth, women, professionals).
Recruit, lead and develop the team; schedule and quality?assure volunteer deployment across campaigns.
Maintain accurate CRM records and produce concise activity and performance reports/dashboards.
Provide support to UKIM branches to strengthen local fundraising, donor engagement and volunteer mobilisation, especially during peak campaigns (e.g., Ramadan, Qurbani, emergency appeals).
Offer advice, training and practical assistance to branch fundraising leads and volunteers to ensure consistent standards, compliance and impact across the organisation.
Act as a liaison between branches and central fundraising/marketing teams to coordinate campaigns, materials and reporting.
Be available to provide hands?on support at branch and organisational events, including evenings and weekends as required.
The post holder may be required to undertake other reasonable duties within the scope of their role and in line with the needs of UKIM.
Person specification
EssentialProven experience leading community fundraising with integrated events and volunteer management.
Track record of delivering income growth against targets across faith/community audiences.
Strong understanding of the Code of Fundraising Practice, Gift Aid, and data protection in fundraising.
Budget ownership and KPI/dashboard reporting experience; confident with CRM use.
Excellent relationship?building, communication and copywriting skills.
Willingness to travel UK?wide and work evenings/weekends in campaign periods.
DesirableExperience of TV/radio appeals and digital acquisition journeys.
Experience supporting branches or a federated network.
Knowledge of UK Muslim donor demographics and seasonal giving patterns.
