Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and highly skilled Gas Engineer to join our team in Guildford. This role is crucial in maintaining our reputation for quality service in plumbing and heating. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of gas installations and repairs on domestic and commercial plumbing and heating systems.

Responsibilities

Working in a fast paced environment delivering the absolute highest standards of workmanship, ensuring our clients and business needs are always met. Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems. Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with regulations. Diagnose faults and provide effective solutions. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service. Maintain accurate records of work completed and provide detailed job reports and quotes using Commusoft. Participate in ongoing training to stay updated with industry standards. Work effectively as part of a team or independently as required. Assist less senior engineers with technical assistance and also assist senior management with engineer and business development.

Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in gas engineering (CCN1, CENWAT, HTR, CKR) OFTEC and knowledge of oil boilers and oil tanks preferred but not essential. Strong plumbing skills with hands-on experience and a minimum of NVQ2 in plumbing. NVQ3 preferred. G3 Unvented qualifications. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools. Owning all hand tools you need to conduct your daily tasks. Flue gas analyser and more specialist tools and equipment are supplied. Mechanical knowledge relevant to gas/heating/plumbing systems. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Excellent problem-solving abilities. Good communication skills for client interaction. Highly motivated and driven.
