About the Role:

L Lynch Plant & Haulage is looking for an experienced

Senior General Foreman

to support the delivery of a major project for a Tier One client near Inverness. You'll oversee daily site operations, lead teams on the ground, and ensure works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate site crews and subcontractors. Plan daily works in line with the overall construction programme. Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety and CDM Regulations. Oversee the setting out, installation, and completion of road and drainage works. Monitor workmanship, productivity, and material usage. Liaise with engineers, clients, and the Works Manager on progress and issues. Keep accurate daily site records, diaries, and reports. Promote safe working practices and environmental awareness.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a

General Foreman

or

Senior Foreman

in highways, drainage, or civil infrastructure. Strong understanding of road construction, drainage, and reinstatement methods. Working knowledge of Section 278/38 works and local authority standards. SSSTS or SMSTS certification. CSCS Card (Supervisory or higher). Full UK driving licence. Strong leadership and communication skills.
