Your New Role
As a Senior GIS Consultant, you will support a small number of strategic customers to link our cutting-edge GIS platform and AI driven data sets with their business needs. You will leverage your extensive experience in GIS and data management to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and seamless integration of our proprietary data and the ESRI-based platform. This senior role requires a blend of technical expertise, customer service focus, and project management skills to support both our internal teams and sophisticated clients.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Data & System Management:
Serve as the primary administrator for
ESRI Enterprise and AGOL platforms
, ensuring optimal performance, security, and integrity of data storage and access.
Data Integration & Quality:
Drive the
data integration strategy
, including defining the theory and process for integrating diverse data formats. Implement and manage robust Quality Control (
QC
) processes for both internal and third-party data to maintain high standards.
Technical Communication:
Act as the
technical communicator and liaison
between data suppliers, internal data teams, and client-facing teams, translating complex data requirements and technical changes into clear action items and resources.
Customer Onboarding & Support:
Lead the
onboarding process for new, high-value users
, creating training resources, providing advanced support, and delivering subject matter expertise on our platform's capabilities.
Project Leadership:
Use
project management skills
to oversee data-centric initiatives, including managing the integration of new data sources and the deployment of major platform updates.
Consultation & Advisory:
Provide expert consultation on how our GIS/data solutions can be best utilised by clients, demonstrating a deep understanding of data formats, integration workflows, spatial ETL and industry best practices.
About You
You are a seasoned GIS professional with 5+ years of relevant experience who is ready to take ownership of critical data and platform functions. You possess a strong academic foundation, a commitment to technical excellence, and the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
Key Skills and Experience
Experience:
5+ years in a GIS, Data Management, or technical consultancy role.
Educational Background:
Degree in GIS, Geography, Geospatial Science, or a related discipline. MSc in GIS or related discipline preferred.
Platform Expertise:
Proven administrative and practical expertise with
ESRI software
(Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and Pro). Demonstrable experience with
FME Form
and
FME Flow
including building enterprise-grade ETL workflows. Understanding of
CAD
and
BIM
data and how to integrate with GIS workflows.
Data Theory:
Deep understanding of
data formats, data integration principles
, and robust data quality assurance methodologies.
Communication & Support:
Exceptional
customer service
and
technical communication skills
for supporting users and managing supplier/client relationships.
Professionalism:
Hold or be working towards a
relevant professional membership
(e.g., RICS, CICES, AGI, etc.).
