Queen Margaret University Business School is seeking to appoint two skilled and passionate transnational education professionals to manage the effective delivery of one or more strategically important Global Partnerships.
Queen Margaret University currently works in collaboration with a range of overseas partners in the delivery of transnational education programmes (TNE). We have long standing partnerships in India, Greece, and Nepal, with most programmes focused on the disciplines of Business Management, and Hospitality, Tourism and Events. Queen Margaret Business School are actively expanding our Global Partnership portfolio with new partnerships established in Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka and Egypt, with a tranche of new partnerships currently in development.
The successful candidates will work as part of a team dedicated to supporting our Global Partnerships, ensure effective liaison between Queen Margaret University and our partner institutions, including supporting and enabling the relationships between academic staff at QMU and with our collaborative partners, liaising with professional services, external examiners, moderators, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth and effective running of our collaborative partnerships. The Senior Global Partnerships Manager will provide effective academic support, advice and leadership to our Global Partners, will work closely with Collaborative Academic Leads to provide support and guidance in effective practice and will liaise and negotiate with colleagues across QMU to ensure consistency in our approach to partnership management. The successful candidates will bring with them a specialist area of academic knowledge in an area relevant to our partnerships, a sound knowledge of effective pedagogic practice and a deep knowledge of Collaborative Education, including TNE delivery, as a professional field.
Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to the development of high-quality Global Partnerships, underpinned with values of mutual responsibility, inclusivity, empowerment and the development of mutual trust. They should be able to demonstrate the ability to work positively and proactively to identify and/or preempt operational issues and adopt a collegiate and collaborative approach to resolving these. The role holder will have significant previous experience of working with Global Partners, including experience of supporting curriculum design and development, leading a partner through validation processes, and the establishment of appropriate systems to manage and monitor the effectiveness or quality assurance and enhancement procedures.
