JFA Medical is a growing company that has recently acquired Hangerworld. With ambitious plans for further expansion, we are seeking a talented Senior Graphic Designer to play a pivotal role in shaping our brand identity and driving growth through exceptional packaging and product branding. This exciting position offers the opportunity to make a real impact by creating designs that will be seen and appreciated by a broad audience.

As a key member of the team, you will collaborate closely with our product managers to take product concepts from brief to completion. You will be instrumental in designing innovative branded packaging, crafting visually stunning marketing materials, and ensuring consistent branding across our businesses. Your ability to translate briefs into impactful designs will directly contribute to the success of our products.

Key Responsibilities:



Packaging Design: Develop creative and market-ready packaging designs for a variety of products, ensuring all designs align with brand values and appeal to target audiences.

Brand Development: Work collaboratively with the Product Management Team to refine and expand brand identities for both new and existing products, ensuring trademarks and branding are distinctive and legally compliant.

Visual Branding: Create eye-catching marketing visuals through professional photography and collaboration with CGI artists to deliver impactful product visuals.

Product Storytelling: Translate the essence of a product into compelling packaging and branding, communicating its value to consumers.

Liaison with CAD/CGI Designers: Ensure design concepts are flawlessly translated into 3D renderings and production-ready materials.

Collaboration: Work closely with product managers to amend and refine designs based on feedback and ensure briefs are fully met.

Sales-Driven Design: Understand and leverage sales data to continuously improve branding and packaging strategies, making a tangible impact on business growth.

Requirements:



Minimum 5 years of experience in graphic design, with a focus on packaging design, branding, or product marketing.

Proven expertise in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.

Strong portfolio showcasing packaging, branding, and product-related designs.

Exceptional attention to detail and ability to create designs that meet both creative and functional needs.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Eligible for full-time employment in the UK.

Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical branding is not required but a bonus.

Design Task:



Create a New Brand and Packaging Concept for a Tube of Toothpaste

We want to see your creativity and ability to design a product from scratch. Your task involves developing a brand and packaging design for a new toothpaste product. Here's what we're looking for:

Brand Development:

Create a brand identity, including a name, logo, tagline, and a brief explanation of the brand's values and target audience. Highlight what makes the brand unique and how it stands out from competitors.

Packaging Design:

Design a functional, visually appealing, and innovative packaging concept for the toothpaste. Use colours, typography, and graphics that resonate with your brand's story and audience. Ensure essential product information is clearly communicated.

Market Positioning:

Explain the target demographic, potential competitors, and how the product is positioned in terms of price and quality.

Submission:

Provide mockups or prototypes (digital or physical) of the packaging and a brief narrative explaining your design choices.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (42.5 hours per week, 30-minute lunch break).
