About the role - DFYNE Your Career
This is a fantastic, newly created role, that will challenge and push you forward.
First of all, it's probably best that I tell you a bit about myself, the person you'll be working most closely with. I'm James, Head of Finance for DFYNE, I joined the company around 18 months ago and it has been a whirlwind journey so far, with the business growing rapidly and no Finance function previously being in place.
In that time, we have managed to hire a brilliant Finance Team of 5 people, who manage the day-to-day finance transactions, as well as embedding a new accounting system and a robust finance process, which now handles over 200k transactions monthly in multiple currencies.
I am looking for someone we can trust to help with some of the areas I have been covering since joining, specifically, taxation direct and indirect, both in the UK and some international, as well as treasury management and helping with the statuary accounts and year end process.
We are also looking for someone who is happy to pull their sleeves up and help wherever needed. A rigid, "this is the way it has to be done" or "that's not my job" approach won't be effective here. We need someone who sees no job as too big or too small.
I'm not going to lie and say it's going to be easy, it will be hard work and largely project based, often working on your own in the early stages, with rather technical projects, so we need someone who is going to come in and hit the ground running.
It will involve working directly with myself on the majority of the projects, where I will be able to offer training and guidance. I'm looking for someone with a great attitude who really wants to develop their skills in accounts and see the great opportunity that this presents.
There will be plenty of opportunities for growth within the role/team (up to Head of) and given the rate at which the company has grown, there could be further opportunities for progression within any avenue of the finance team.

So, what's in it for you?
If you've made it this far down without being put off, brilliant, I'd love to hear from you.
