We are recruiting for a senior legal counsel role, reporting to the Head of Global Customer Engagement Legal Affairs. Global Customer Engagement Legal Affairs is a new unit within Ericsson's Group Function Legal Affairs (GFLA) focused on customer engagement - bridging Market Areas (MA) and Business Areas (BA) - in an end-to-end fashion with a goal to differentiate the organization's approach with customers, promoting balanced contracts and enhancing its position in alignment with strategic objectives, while sustaining a dynamic that creates long term value. Its mission is to strengthen Ericsson's customer-facing contracts and practices, align them with strategic priorities, and drive long-term value through collaboration, disciplined risk management, and smart decision-making.



The team partners closely with other teams across GFLA, including Market Area legal teams, Contracting Excellence, Products and Technology, IPR and Global Disputes with a focus on improving collaboration and ways of working for greater efficiency and effectiveness in driving GFLA's priorities and deepening our engagement with the broader organization, particularly on strategy, key transactions and disputes. The unit partners with the business and functions across the organization to execute on the organization's strategic priorities, drive organizational transformation, enhance the company's competitive position and effectively manage risk.

As part of the Global Customer Engagement Legal Affairs unit, you can expect to have opportunities to participate in other strategic initiatives across the Ericsson Group. Over the long term, we actively encourage our lawyers to grow, develop new skills, and pursue their interests by exploring and applying for other roles within GFLA.



We particularly welcome applications from those who enjoy advising on a very broad range of matters and are proactive about driving change.



The location will preferably be London, UK but other locations can be agreed.

In this role, you will:

Review, draft and negotiate in collaboration with GFLA Market Area teams, key global strategic and priority group contracts (and related documentation), tailoring your approach to each matter's priority and complexity

Provide legal advice draft tailored materials, and influence, Ericsson stakeholders - at all levels of the company by distilling complex risks and opportunities into clear, actionable guidance.



Act as legal expert on customer operations, sales, product and service delivery across Group and Market Area level enabling efficient, intelligent and risk-managed product and customer service across the organization.


Drive global improvement and transformation in the way GFLA at Group and Market Area level operate through identifying, defining and connecting best-practice across the organisation


Provide trusted counsel and thought leadership to leaders across the organisation, working directly with other GFLA teams, to drive strategic advantage for the organisation in the area of customer engagements and product / service delivery.


Where needed, work in close partnership with the GFLA teams in Market areas, on major projects or initiatives, leveraging the very best of GFLA.


Mentor colleagues, share lessons learned, and help cultivate an inclusive, high-performing global legal team.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

12+ years of experience Bar admission with good standing in any jurisdiction At top tier law firm and/or experience working at publicly listed multinational companies operating in diverse geographies. Ideal candidate will have boh law firm and in-house experience. Legal experience preferably with a focus on technology and commercial agreements. Strong communication, writing and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and independently handle and manage complex and sensitive matters, in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Highly collaborative and a strong ability to build relationships and engage a broad range of stakeholders - both internal and external to the organization. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - ability to navigate ambiguity effectively, gathering inputs from multiple stakeholders and/or diverse perspectives and integrate these into a clear and focused strategy. Intellectual agility and an ability to quickly get up to speed across new subject matter and business areas. Strong leadership and influence skills. Leadership and strong ability to manage projects with diverse teams in different functions. Great prioritization, organization and time management skills. * Proactive, anticipates needs and takes initiative
