Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and a passion for food, ensuring that our kitchen operates efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality. As the Senior Head Chef, you will play a pivotal role in staff training, and fostering a positive kitchen environment whilst ensuring due diligence.

Duties

Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation meets quality standards and adheres to health and safety regulations. Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills. Maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked. Implement food safety protocols and ensure compliance with hygiene standards at all times. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, equipment usage, and safety procedures. Monitor kitchen performance, making adjustments as needed to improve efficiency and quality.

Experience

Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant, pub or hospitality industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation. Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating innovative dishes. Experience in menu planning, budgeting, and inventory management is desirable. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
